At least 10 Iranian police officers killed in attacks in Southeast Iran

At least 10 police officers were killed in clashes with militants in Taftan County, located in Sistan-Baluchistan province, an area long affected by unrest. Local media outlets Mehr and Tasnim reported the fatalities, though specific details regarding the nature of the attack remain unclear.


The official IRNA news agency cited a police statement confirming the deaths of "10 personnel in two patrol units," describing the incident as an ambush. The attack took place approximately 1,200 kilometres (745 miles) southeast of Tehran, and as of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the assault.
